Rangers Wallace replaces Blackpool's Crainey in Scotland squad

Blackpool defender Stephen Crainey has been withdrawn from the Scotland squad for this weekend's meeting with Liechtenstein in Vaduz and Tuesday's clash with Spain.

The 30-year old left-back has an ankle injury and will not be available for either game with manager Craig Levein drafting in Rangers' Lee Wallace as his replacement.

Key midfielder Scott Brown has already been ruled out with an ongoing ankle problem as Scotland go into the two final Euro2012 qualifiers with their qualification chances hanging on tenterhooks.

A win against Liechtenstein is an absolute must and then a draw in Spain could be enough if the World Champions beat second-placed Czech Republic on Friday night. The Czechs then travel to Lithuania for their final match on Tuesday.
