Rangers defender David Weir has visited former club Everton and their new Finch Farm complex in the past week.
"I've done a bit of training, I managed to join in with the lads and I really enjoyed it. I felt like I'd never been away.
"Bellefield had its attractions and everybody was sad to leave, but you come to a place like Finch Farm and you know you've made the right decision. It's a great place for the lads to work in, and obviously they're seeing the benefits of that now.
"It's got everything you need here. Bellefield was small and had a lot of history, but you've got to move with the times, this is the way forward, nothing is left to chance here, and everything is here for preparation and recovery from a Premier League game."
