Rangers turn down West Brom's Naismith advances

It has been revealed that Rangers last week rejected an offer from West Bromwich Albion for Steven Naismith.

The injured Scottish forward was heavily linked with the Baggies on Friday, along with goalkeeper Allan McGregor, with Sky Sports suggesting that a bid had reached Ibrox for the former.

But financially troubled 'Gers reportedly turned down the overtures of the West Midlands club as they are keen to see the 25-year old remain in Glasgow until at least 2015 when his current deal expires.
