Rangers are believed to be looking closely at Arsenal youngster Rhys Murphy.

Skysports.com suggests that the Scottish champions are showing considerable interest in the 20-year old striker who is currently trialing with Middlesbrough.

Arsenal are looking to move Murphy on and although 'Boro lead the race for his services, Ally McCoist is making his interest known and is still a chance to bring the former England U19 international to Ibrox.
