West Ham goalkeeper Roy Carroll has joined Rangers on a free transfer.

Carroll was released by the Hammers at the end of last season and the 29-year-old becomes the seventh new arrival at Ibrox this summer.

He said: "It's a fantastic opportunity for me and I had no hesitation in accepting the offer. I have made no secret that I am a Rangers fan so this really is a bit of a dream for me.

"I know it's going to be a battle to get into the team but I'm ready to fight."
