Rangers captain David Weir has defended his side after allegations that they are a dirty team full of ill-disciplined players. The Ibrox club have been criticised for their part in last week's fiery Old Firm Scottish Cup derby with Celtic which saw three Rangers players sent off and a string of yellow cards produced to players in blue.
But Weir does not have a problem with how he and his teammates play and feels the tag is a bit much.
"I disagree with any people questioning our discipline. I do not think there is a problem," he said.
"Any incidents that happened the other night were debatable. You could argue either way on any of the key decisions.
"If you want to say our discipline is a problem then look over the course of the last four seasons since the gaffer has been back here.
"It's never been an issue and I don't see it being an issue now. Team spirit has never been a problem either, regardless of circumstances. Football has never been a smooth path and not everything goes your way.
"You have to respond to the disappointments and the obstacles put in your way. I think we've done that."
