Rangers skipper Barry Ferguson has no regrets missing out on a return to the Premiership last month.
The midfielder, 31, was linked with a move to Newcastle and Bolton last month after the Ibrox club admitted they could be forced to sell one of their top stars.
But, after returning north of the border in 2005 following a spell with Blackburn, Ferguson insists he had no intention of quitting Rangers again.
He said: "Like three or four other players at Ibrox, I'm glad the transfer window is shut.
"Nothing happened and I'm happy with that.
"I always wanted to stay - why would I want to move? I have a young family and they are happy and settled here. Family comes first and most of the other boys at Rangers feel the same. Everybody wanted to stay.
"We are still in two cups and in with a shout in the league so everybody is happy in the dressing room and settled."
