Rangers star Pedro Mendes has earned a surprise recall to the Portugal squad after a five year absence.
New Portugal boss Carlos Queiroz has called up the former Portsmouth and Tottenham man whose last cap came back in 2003 against Italy.
The midfielder has made an instant impression at Ibrox, winning successive man-of-the-match awards against Hearts and Aberdeen.
