New Rangers signing Jean-Claude Darcheville admits he's 'arrogant and grumpy'.

The 31-year-old former Bordeaux striker warned Walter Smith and his soon-to-be teammates what to expect when he joins them for pre-season.

Darcheville also told a French sports magazine he collects watches and is desperate to be a dad.

He said: "My main character trait is I am arrogant. My major failing is I am grumpy.

"If you ask me what my favourite occupation is I would have to say sleeping. My motto would be - if you want respect, you have to earn it."
