Scottish champions Rangers have signed Spanish midfielder Juan Manuel Ortiz.
The 29-year old, who can also operate at full-back, has signed a three-year deal with 'Gers and will join from Segunda Division club Almeria.
Ortiz says he is genuinely excited about coming to Scotland and is looking forward to getting started with the Glasgow giants.
"I am very happy to be here. I want to start training as soon as possible so that I can stake a claim for a place in the team," he told the club's official website.
"I am looking forward to working with Ally McCoist. I have heard all about him and I have only been told good things.
"I know I am his first signing and I know people will expect a lot from me because of that. I will respect that and I am going to try to do the best I can for the fans.
"May aim is to win the championship. The team has done very well in the last few seasons so I want to make sure this continues to be the case."
