Rangers reject improved West Ham bid for Jelavic

Rangers have turned down an improved offer from West Ham United for striker Nikica Jelavic according to reports.

The Hammers reportedly came in with a bid of around £6million early last week and last night increased that to £7.2million which is still not enough in the eyes of ‘Gers officials.

Rangers owner Craig Whyte rejected the overtures from the East Londoners, who are determined to lure the Croatian international to Upton Park, with manager Sam Allardyce believed to be set to hold talks with club co-owner David Sullivan in a bid to get an improved offer in the region of £8m on the table.
