Rangers' Papac would love for Villa's Cuellar to return

Rangers defender Sasa Papac says he would love to see Carlos Cuellar back at the club next season. The Aston Villa centre-back has been linked with an Ibrox return for much of the summer following his stint with the Glasgow giants in the 2007/08 season.

Left-back Papac, who played alongside the Spaniard during that campaign, admits it would be great if Cuellar could reunite with the club.

"I know that the manager is interested in bringing Carlos Cuellar back to the club and that would be great," Papac told the club's official website.

"He is a very good player. We know how he can play after his great season with us before."

'Gers have already had an offer for Cuellar rejected and it looks increasingly likely that he will remain at Villa Park next season.
