Scottish club Rangers will play Bristol City in a friendly next month.

'Gers will head to Ashton Gate on July 13 to meet the League One Robins who are looking forward to the season ahead.

"It's a great pre-season fixture for us to play a club of Rangers' size and history and adds an extra dimension to our pre-season programme," Bristol boss Sean O'Driscoll told the club's official website.

"Glasgow Rangers always attract a massive following wherever they play and a big crowd at Ashton Gate will add to our preparations for the coming season."
