Rangers assistant Ally McCoist feels that referee Calum Murray produced the most impressive performance of Sunday's Scottish Cup fifth round draw with Celtic.
The 43-year old official was right on top of everything in the incident-packed match at Ibrox which ended 2-2, setting up a replay between the sides on March 2, and McCoist was full of praise for the job done by Murray.
"I'm pleased to be in the cup, if I'm being brutally honest - that's the initial reaction. It was a game that was incident-packed - it had everything," he said.
"It certainly wasn't a dirty game but by the laws of the game there were two players sent off and I thought the referee was the best man on the park. I thought he had a terrific game.
"If there is such a thing as a neutral watching these games - which there probably isn't - I think they would have been entertained and excited today."
McCoist even agreed with the decision to produce a second yellow card for Rangers striker Steve Naismith for simulation in the second half.
"It looked to me as though he went down very easily and gave the referee the opportunity to send him off," he added.
"I haven't spoken to Naisy but I don't think there was any contact. The way he went down, the referee looked on it as an illegal attempt to obtain a penalty.
"If that was the case, the referee was well within his rights to send Naismith off."
