Edu said at a press conference to promote the game between Rangers and AC Milan scheduled for February 4th: "These are the kind of games you live to play for. It's great that we are playing AC Milan and coming up against all their world-class players.
"They are one of the biggest clubs in the world, there is a lot of history there and their squad is dripping with outstanding players. So it's a good chance for Rangers to test themselves against that opposition and see where we stand."
Edu also defended the standard of play in MLS.
"I've played against Beckham before and I still think he is a great player," Edu continued, "A lot of people perhaps expected him to drop off when he moved to America. But he has been able to remain a part of the England squad, so that proves the standard back home isn't as poor as people perceive."
