Scottish champions Rangers have made a formal approach for Dundee United striker David Goodwillie.
The Scottish Premier League's Young Player of the Year has attracted a fair bit of interest after scoring 19 goals last season and now 'Gers have contacted his club with an enquiry.
Goodwillie signed a contract extension in March to remain with the Terrors until 2014 but Rangers are keen to add him to their double-winning squad as they look for four SPL titles in a row.
