Scottish champions Rangers are hoping they can tie up key trio Allan McGregor, Steven Davis and Steven Whittaker to new deals. Goalkeeper McGregor has been heavily linked with Ibrox departure this summer with Aston Villa and Bursaspor showing considerable interest in recent weeks whilst Whittaker is also a strong target for the Turkish outfit.
Whittaker has also rejected a new offer from 'Gers whilst Davis comes out of contract shortly and manager Ally McCoist is desperate to keep them in Glasgow.
He has revealed that talks are ongoing and that he is confident of re-signing the trio.
"Negotiations are ongoing with Whitts and Greegs," he said.
"Negotiations with Steve Davis' agents are just about to start as well.
"We are really keen to keep those lads because they have been important to the club in the recent success we have had. It's safe to say, there's no way that we want to lose them."
