Rangers Little hopes Port Vale move will increase international chances

Andrew Little has moved to Port Vale from Rangers in the hope that the loan move will improve his chances of international recognition with Northern Ireland. The versatile 22-year-old is with League Two club from Scottish champions Rangers until January 1, 2012.

"It is something that is in the back of my mind," Little told the club`s official website. "I spoke to (Northern Ireland manager) Nigel Worthington and he told me I need to be playing on a more regular basis.

"I do not expect to be picked for Northern Ireland if I am on the bench at Rangers or playing in the reserves. I have got to be playing week-in, week-out."
