Rangers boss Ally McCoist is believed to be showing interest in Dundee United striker Jon Daly.
Reports suggest that 'Gers have written to the Arabs requesting permission to speak to the 30-year old who comes out of contract in the summer.
McCoist wants to offer Daly, who can double as a centre-back, a pre-contract with the Glasgow club set to come out of their transfer embargo on September 1 but it is believed that the United man is eyeing a potential shift to England.
