Rangers' Jelavic likely to sign with Liverpool claims dad

The father of Rangers ace Nikica Jelavic claims his son is likely to sign with Liverpool this winter.

The likes of QPR, West Ham United and West Bromwich Albion have all been credited with an interest in the 26-year old Croatian striker but his father, Philip, says it is the Reds who he fancies.

"Yes, we know about the interest of West Ham, and QPR," said Jelavic Snr.

"But Nikica has five or six clubs interested, including that of the great Liverpool.

"As for West Ham and QPR, I think that Nikica is more ambitious than that. It's most likely he will sign for Liverpool."
