Tottenham are on the brink of signing Rangers fullback Alan Hutton.

Right-back Hutton was in London last night to thrash out a £9m move from Scottish giants Rangers, says The Sun.

Scotland star Hutton, 23, had twice rejected Spurs.

But it is understood he will pocket £1m by moving now rather than waiting until the summer.

He will become Scotland's most expensive outfield player as he prepares to pen a £33,000-a-week contract.
