Rangers Football Club has now fallen into liquidation after Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs confirmed on Tuesday that it will vote against a Company Voluntary Arrangement proposal.
It is now expected that talks will occur between 'Gers administrators Duff & Phelps and Professional Footballers Association Scotland to clear up the issue of players' contracts now the Glasgow club is forced into liquidation and has become a newco.
"PFA Scotland have a different view and talks have taken place between our lawyers and theirs.
"It's a situation that needs to be resolved.""We are of the firm view that the players' contracts transfer to the newco," joint-administrator Paul Clark told Record Sport.
