Rangers could be set to swoop for Ian Black if comments made by an Ibrox scout are anything to go by.

The 27-year old midfielder has left Scottish Cup winners Heart of Midlothian after his contract expired and is now on the hunt for a new club with Glasgow giants 'Gers big admirers.

"Black's an excellent, solid, intelligent player," Rangers scout John Brown told the Daily Record.

"He is a player who would enhance our squad and is on the list.
