Rangers defender Brahim Hemdani has cooled talk of a January move to Reading.

Reports have surfaced in France suggesting Hemdani may have already been granted permission to begin signing talks with Stevie Coppell ahead of the opening of the transfer window.

When asked about the latest reports linking him with a move to the Madjeski Stadium Hemdani told the Daily Record: "Who? Reading? No. There is no change with my situation.

"I have no problems at all and I'm not looking to go back to France or anywhere else. I am happy with the club and I am happy to play here.

"That's why it's strange there are noises about Reading. I don't know where this has come from. It has not come from me or my agents."
