Rangers defender Bougherra hopes to catch eye of Arsenal, Fulham

Rangers defender Madjid Bougherra hopes to put himself in the Premiership shop window against England.

The Algeria international has been linked with Fulham and Arsenal since the end of last season.

And although Algeria's opening match is against Slovenia in Polokwane today, Bougherra admits it is the clash with England a week today in Cape Town which is his biggest challenge.

"It can help me," said Bougherra of his career in the UK which also involved stints at Charlton and Sheffield Wednesday.

"I play in a big team, I played Champions League so I've learned a mentality change - I want to win every game. It's British football so this can help me with England."
