Rangers decision was a good one insists Aluko

Sone Aluko says it was not a bad decision to join Rangers in November.

The former Aberdeen winger joined 'Gers after a successful trial when the Glasgow giants were in pole position to win the Scottish title but after dipping into his own pocket to make the move happen, the club fell over both on and off the pitch to enter administration and miss out on the premiership to Celtic.

But Aluko, who has recently been heavily linked with Spanish club Rayo Vallecano, says he does not regret his move to Rangers.

"Of course not, never. I don't regret things in life generally but the decision to come to Rangers, for me, was a very good decision - one of my best footballing decisions," he said.

"You don't come here and just expect to win things, other teams are not going to roll over and let you win things.

"But Rangers will go on and I'm sure we will win more matches in the future."

As for his future at the club, Aluko insisted that he will have to make another decision come season's end.

"We will see at the end of the season. I wouldn't like to say yes or no or whatever because we can't tell the future," he added.

"When it comes to that point, I'll sit down and talk to them and decide my next step."
