Rangers manager Ally McCoist has confirmed that the club is interested in Dundee United's Jon Daly.
'Gers have been heavily linked with the 30-year old striker and McCoist has made it clear that he is one of a few players the Glasgow club is targeting for when their transfer embargo is lifted on September 1.
"We are registering a note of interest in players and Jon is one of a number who are out of contract with their own clubs at the end of this season," he said.
"He's one of a number we're looking at. We are looking to bring players to the club, they have to be free transfers and we aren't able to register them until September 1.
"Jon ticks a lot of boxes but unfortunately, at this moment he ticks them for Dundee United."
