Rangers chief Martin Bain has assured fans more signings will be made before the summer market closes.

He told the club's website: "We are still working hard to make sure we have a squad capable of challenging on all fronts.

"The nature of Rangers is such that we are constantly linked with players with no foundation.

"But we are used to that and know what our priorities are.

"I am confident through experience of transfer windows in recent years that there will be movement, both in and out, in the weeks ahead.

"Walter (Smith) has a core squad to meet the immediate challenges, although we are disappointed to have picked up a couple of injuries at this early stage."
