Rangers chairman Murray: We want to see the club great again

The chairman of newco Rangers says the current board is determined to ensure the club returns to its former glory.

Malcolm Murray is part of a consortium led by Charles Green which has reformed the Glasgow giants after they fell into liquidation and he has made it vehemently clear that those involved have no hidden agendas despite calls from club great John Brown to have the supporters drive them out.

"The consortium that has purchased Rangers wishes to see the club restored and rebuilt," he said.

"We want to see Rangers be great again.

"The consortium is not the villain of the piece, nor is Charles Green.

"They are the only people who stepped up to buy the club. I have been a Rangers fan all my life and a season ticket holder for many years."
