Rangers defender Madjid Bougherra is expected to be fit for the start of the new Scottish Premier League season.
The 28-year old Algerian centre-half returned to Glasgow on Tuesday from the clubs pre-season training camp in Germany with a hamstring injury which required a scan.
But upon having the problem further assessed, it appears as though Bougherra has no serious damage to the area and should be fine for the 2011/12 SPL opener against Heart of Midlothian at Ibrox on July 23.
