Rangers boss McCoist praises players for remarkable away record

Ally McCoist has heaped praise on the Rangers players for their Scottish Premier League record of 13 straight away wins.

The streak began with victory over St Mirren in March and has seen the reigning Scottish champions score 33 goals and concede just one in a brilliant bout of form away from the comforts of Ibrox.

McCoist pointed out that to achieve something like this is due to the fact that everyone is pulling together and hopes it can continue ahead of a potentially difficult trip to Aberdeen’s Pittodrie Stadium on Saturday.

"It's a remarkable run that all the players are on, in terms of their defending, because they all take pride in it - not just the goalkeeper and defence," McCoist told Rangers TV.

"It's an overall team thing.

"The basis of a lot of good teams is sound defences and sound goalkeeping. We've certainly had that on the road and long may it continue.

"We've got a very difficult away fixture coming up but up until now we have been very pleased."
