Rangers were last night knocked out of the Ramsdens Cup courtesy of a shock defeat to Queen of the South.
The Glasgow club were beaten 4-3 on penalties after extra-time ended 2-2 and manager Ally McCoist was severely disappointed with the performance.
However, the 'Gers boss felt that a couple of incidents - namely Gavin Reilly's last-minute leveller and Kevin Kyle's red card - were hard to take in another mediocre performance by the Ibrox club.
"It's a sore one. I'm really disappointed to get beat in the manner we did," said McCoist.
"I'm not sure there was a lot between the teams but I thought we'd done enough to hold on when we went in front and went down to 10 men.
"I was disappointed in the manner we lost the second goal.
"A couple of the lads are telling me it was our throw-in and their lad was a yard offside when he scored but there's nothing we can do about it.
"We were aware of how difficult it was going to be tonight against a good side that are unbeaten in the league and who knocked Hibs out of the League Cup.
"There didn't look a lot in the sending off and Kev says exactly the same.
"Sometimes you get the decisions and tonight we definitely didn't."
