Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren has helped Rangers make their swoop for Osijek left-back Borna Barisic.
Barisic became Rangers' 11th signing of the transfer window on Tuesday after impressing against the Ibrox outfit in the Europa League qualifiers and Gers boss Steven Gerrard revealed he turned to Lovren for advice.
He said, "We'd spoken to Dejan Lovren in good detail. We knew he was a wonderful talent and we believe he's made for Rangers.
“We're trying to bring that calibre of players in, who are hungry and want to win football matches and who also have potential to become international footballers.
“Those are the type of players we believe Rangers should be attracting."
