USA captain Carlos Bocanegra felt his side were ‘solid’ in their 0-0 friendly draw with Canada in Toronto on Sunday.
The highly-fancied US side were frustrated by a plucky Canadian outfit with head coach Jurgen Klinsmann suggesting his team were tired after a heavy schedule which included matches against Scotland and Brazil in the week leading up.
But Rangers defender Bocanegra was a bit more positive towards his team, suggesting they performed well despite admitting there was an element of hindrance from their opponents.
“We limited them with chances but any international match you're going to have to deal with a few things and I thought we dealt with them well.
“It was a little bit of a frustrating game overall. We're a bit disappointed we didn't come out with a win but we didn't come out of here with a loss. We didn't get frustrated and open ourselves up and lose the game.”“Good. I thought we played pretty well. I thought we were pretty solid,” he told USsoccer.com.
