Rangers' Bocanegra rates USA performance in Canada draw as 'solid'

USA captain Carlos Bocanegra felt his side were 'solid' in their 0-0 friendly draw with Canada in Toronto on Sunday.

The highly-fancied US side were frustrated by a plucky Canadian outfit with head coach Jurgen Klinsmann suggesting his team were tired after a heavy schedule which included matches against Scotland and Brazil in the week leading up.

But Rangers defender Bocanegra was a bit more positive towards his team, suggesting they performed well despite admitting there was an element of hindrance from their opponents.

"Good. I thought we played pretty well. I thought we were pretty solid," he told USsoccer.com.

"We limited them with chances but any international match you're going to have to deal with a few things and I thought we dealt with them well.

"It was a little bit of a frustrating game overall. We're a bit disappointed we didn't come out with a win but we didn't come out of here with a loss. We didn't get frustrated and open ourselves up and lose the game."
