Rangers, Birmingham target Goodwillie says he can leave Dundee Utd

David Goodwillie says Dundee United won't block him from moving away in the summer.

The striker is interesting Birmingham City and Blackpool, along with Rangers.

Goodwillie said in the Daily Record: "I had a long meeting with the chairman and manager and we all decided that was the best thing for me right now.

"They stated clearly that if somebody was to come in with the right offer I would still be able to go. If it's the right price for the chairman he won't stand in my way.

"It is a win-win situation. If I go I will be furthering my career and if I stay I will be playing every week and bettering myself as a player.

"I was just happy to put pen to paper."
