Angel Rangel was thrilled to contribute to Swansea City's first win in eight matches on Tuesday night.
The Spaniard scored as the Swans came from behind to beat Wigan Athletic 3-2 at the DW Stadium and admitted it was a relief to get back on the winners list.
"It was important to end that run of bad results," Rangel told Sky Sports.
"It was important to get the three points to secure a place in the top 10.
"We know Wigan are fighting relegation, we showed good character."
