Rangel hoping Swansea continue Spanish transfer policy

Swansea City fullback Angel Rangel hopes more Spanish signings will be made this summer.

Jose Canas has signed on a pre-contract from Real Betis and the club in talks over a £2m move for Espanyol defender Jordi Amat.

Rangel told Swansea's club website: "It has been a pleasure to play with (the other Spaniards). On the pitch they are top players, and off the pitch they are a very good group of lads.

"The Spanish influence at the club has been very important in the club's success, going back to when Roberto (Martinez) was here as a player.

"It's great to see Swansea City having such a strong connection with Spain.

"I'm really enjoying it here and the other Spanish lads feel very comfortable and settled here. We spend quite a lot of time together."
