Charlie Davies admits it was not a tough decision to join New England Revolution on loan.
The 27-year old forward is currently contracted to Danish club Randers FC but will spend the remainder of the 2013 MLS season with the Revs.
Born in New Hampshire, the former Hammarby, Sochaux and DC United man admitted delight in returning to his home region.
"To me, it sounded like a no-brainer," Davies said after up his first training session with the Revs on Tuesday morning. "I think it's a perfect situation for me with all the support I have here.
"I really feel like it's time to come back here and show people that I'm not hiding; I haven't gone away. I still think I have a lot to offer and I want to continue to get better.
"So I think this was the perfect place for me to come. I think it's a perfect situation for me to thrive, so I'm looking forward to the challenge."
