Arsenal youngster Mark Randall hopes for a senior chance in their Carling Cup quarterfinal against Manchester City.

Randall has already made nine Carling Cup appearances for the Gunners over the last four seasons and is now hoping to feature in the Quarter-Finals of the current campaign.

He told arsenal.com: "If I'm in the squad it will be really exciting to go to Manchester City away. They are a great team and it's great stadium but we need to perform to get into the squad.

"There are a lot of young players [in midfield] but if you've worked hard enough you'll get your chances, the manager has shown that."
