Cardiff City fullback Adam Matthews is in the sights of Arsenal.

The Daily Star Sunday says having signed midfielder Aaron Ramsey for £5million from the Bluebirds, Arsenal are now eyeing Matthews, who is only 17.

Cardiff's latest find was in the Wales squad for yesterday's match against Scotland after making rapid progress this season.

Matthews has only just established himself in the Cardiff side but is regarded as one of Wales' best discoveries for years.

He was originally on Swansea's books and is also a talented rugby union player.

It is understood Ramsey, 18, has already recommended Matthews to manager Arsene Wenger.
