Arsenal are in advanced talks with Aaron Ramsey over a new contract. The London Evening Standard says Ramsey is close to agreeing a five-year contract with Arsenal which will double his wages to more than £100,000 a week.
He still has more than two years left on the deal he signed in December 2012 but Arsenal are eager to secure him long term and talks are progressing well.
The 23-year-old scored 13 goals this term before injuring his thigh on Boxing Day and a report today suggested he has a slim chance of returning to action against Bayern Munich next Tuesday.
