Manchester United secretary Ken Ramsden insists the club is no soulless money-making entity.
He maintains that there are plenty of people at Old Trafford who are there for the football, not just for the massive revenues that the club generates.
"It's not this big, faceless, arrogant edifice as some of our detractors pretend or believe," Ramsden told Sky Sports News.
"There's a lot of caring people here, right from the board right the way down and right through the club, who care passionately about the club and its reputation, about what it does and how it does it."
