Ramos upset with Real Madrid coach Zidane after public blast

Real Madrid senior players are upset with coach Zinedine Zidane over public criticism after their draw with Levante.

Zidane spoke openly after Saturday's result of his disappointment with the performance.

"We can not be happy with our work," said the coach. "We have to find more intensity at the start of the games and today we did not do it."

This came after Zidane had spoken to the squad inside the locker room. Marca says Zidane rapped his charges over a lack of focus in defending and poor decision making when in possession.

But it was going public which upset the players, including captain Sergio Ramos. Questioning their attitude when speaking with the press has upset many inside the squad and there was anger upon hearing the comments.

Tensions have since eased, but Ramos and fellow senior players are adamant that there was nothing wrong with their attitude for the 1-1 draw.
