Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos says coach Jose Mourinho is the right fit for the club.
Mourinho's first season at Real was embroiled in controversy.
Ramos told Marca: "Real Madrid needed someone like Mourinho, someone of that character and personality.
"Every day I learn from him. He is always attentive to everything and it helps you improve every day."
Ramos also denied there was any kind of split in the squad.
"I'm not an actor - if there were bad feeling in the squad I would say," he said.
Ramos suggested Madrid should not get too hung up on the plaudits being heaped on Barca for their style of play.
"The philosophy of Real Madrid's game is different from Barcelona," he said.
