Ramos delighted with first Real Madrid victory: We can beat Barcelona

New Real Madrid coach Juande Ramos was delighted to mark his first game in charge with victory over Zenit St Petersburg.

Ramos saw his captain Raul hit two goals, with Arjen Robben also chiming in, for a 3-0 victory over the Russians.

"The victory will be very good for team morale," smiled Ramos. "They worked and made an effort to produce an entertaining performance, showing a great attitude and pleasing the public.

"The negative is the fatigue, there are three days in six games. This triumph is good for the El Clasico."

Ramos added: "We'll go with maximum confidence to the Nou Camp, when we are at peak performance we can beat anyone at any stadium. Barca is a difficult team but we are capable of getting a good result."
