Ramirez sees Southampton shirt nicked after scoring

Southampton attacker Gaston Ramirez scored against Everton yesterday - then lost his shirt!

Having equalised for Southampton in Sunday's 2-1 defeat, the Uruguayan was left red-faced when the young fan who caught the top refused to return it.

Ramirez was forced to finish the game wearing a spare jersey with no number on its back.

The Saints' manager Mauricio Pochettino refused to get shirty with his player though: "I'm not sure what happened to his shirt. I think he threw it into the crowd.

"But I'm very happy with his performance because he's in a process of recovering his confidence and he's on the right path.

"He's in a process of adapting and that's taking time. He got some minutes in this game and scored a good goal and we hope with more time he'll get stronger."
