Benfica star Ramires is set to undergo a medical with Chelsea, indicating that a deal is extremely close.
The 23-year old Brazil international midfielder will sign a four-year deal to complete an £18million move from Portugal to London.
He has spent just one season with Benfica following his move from Cruzeiro and has attracted plenty of interest from Chelsea following his impressive World Cup performances.
However, one small hurdle needs to be jumped as Ramires has to gain a work permit because he has not played the required 75% of games for Brazil over the past two years but the Blues are confident that will be pushed through due to special circumstances.
