Ole in Argentina declared yesterday that United were actively exploring the prospect of meeting Icardi's €110m buyout clause to sign the Argentina international ahead of long-term suitors Real Madrid.
And Italy's Corriere dello Sport is now reporting Raiola could use his influence to get in the middle of negotiations. The super agent enjoys a much closer relationship with United than Real and has also been developing ties with Icardi.
Indeed, he and the striker's wife and agent, Wanda Nara, have discussed working together which could lead to Icardi being placed at Old Trafford this summer.
Icardi's current deal runs to 2021.
