Chateauroux midfielder Alexandre Raineau says Abou Diaby could've been better than Manchester United star Paul Pogba.

After an injury ravaged career at Arsenal, Diaby is trying to relaunch things with Marseille.

Raineau played and trained with Diaby at Clairefontaine and told SFR Sport: "For me, the best of us was Abou Diaby.

"He was the one who had everything to be the star, the player par excellence.

"I think he could have been better than Paul Pogba. Even during the years at the top with Arsenal, he could still progress."
