At 15 years of age, Raheem Sterling made his senior Liverpool debut yesterday against Borussia Monchengladbach.
The England Under-16 midfielder, signed from QPR, made his bow in the 82nd minute at the age of 15 years, seven months. Boss Roy Hodgson took him to Germany because he feared the squad would be light on numbers.
"Sterling and Suso (Jesus Fernandez ) were called up and so I wanted to give them a few minutes on the pitch," said Hodgson.
